Cooper

Cooper has come a very long way since he was found as a stray in NC. He traveled with me last Easter to Lowcountry Lab Rescue in Charleston, SC where he later ended up my foster dog. He was diagnosed with a fairly severe case of heartworms shortly thereafter and treated once. The treatment was too much for his malnourished, neglected body and he lost down to 48 lbs, went into congestive heart failure, and we nearly lost him. He is a fighter, though, and with a little TLC he is now happy and healthy. He will probably need meds for the rest of his life, but we love him anyway. He officially became a member of my family in August and I couldn't ask for a better friend or a more loving "fur baby." I hope to get him in to pet therapy so that he can be an inspiration to sick children in the future. Thanks to Dr. Bingham for helping us out and as always to all of the wonderful staff at South Ridge! We love you guys!
